The staff were good and moved me to a different room for the 2nd night. As the first room was dirty, small and smelly.
The first room I had was appalling

I took a night in this hotel quite early for work and truth is that I was afraid of what I would find. I read some very good reviews and some bad ones and I didn't know which part was true or not. In my case I am delighted. Taking into account the average price of the hotels in Amsterdam and more in a week of Fair with full of hotels, relation quality/price is incredible. It cost me 67 euros including taxes and other years I have been in hotels that cost me almost twice as much and were worse... don't be fooled, hotel is simple but comfortable. It is very well located, in fact I went from the airport to the Hotel in a bus, 397 (that I could take with my Chipkart card of transport of Amsterdam), in less than half an hour I was in the Hotel, walking about 5 minutes. Excellent. hotel is very well located with lots of tram lines next to it which makes it very easy to move around Amsterdam. At the reception they took care of me in perfect English and solved all my doubts. Once in the room I was surprised how spacious it was. It looked a bit dreary. I mean, it was very big but with few and simple furniture. For me it was perfect, for someone who wants to stay several days maybe it becomes very simple. truth is that I don't know if there are other different rooms in the hotel, for me it was fine. Several plugs to charge devices, furniture to work with computer, good Wifi and a big and sufficient bathroom. Simple but enough. Anyway, great discovery that I will try to book again next time I go to Amsterdam.

The hotel feels quality. It was always clean and well presented. The staff were nice and having staying in another hotel nearby - I can say it is great value for money

Good location, museum square is within walking distance, grocery store is nearby, park is nearby, it was also convenient to get to/from the airport. The administrators are friendly, in English they say, the room is for four, in a budget style, but the most necessary things are there, as well as on the photo. Heating could be adjusted at your discretion.
Clean bed linen, especially pillowcases... The towels were changed every day, no complaints about them, the cleanliness of the bathroom is also satisfactory. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room, the city is cool after all. The hearing from the neighboring rooms and the corridor sometimes makes itself felt. Also be prepared to pay in cash, as there will be a 5% commission for cards, except the Maestro.

No complaints whatsoever, the venue met needs well. The hotel was fairly clean with reasonably sized rooms and pretty friendly staff. All the services were good! Need to point that free Wi-Fi was ok, you can use it throughout the property.

I stayed at Hotel Blyss because it is so convenient for the Concertgebouw, which is where the conference was held. This is a finance conference, run by students, that I have now attended every year for the last three years. The hotel is also close to major museums, and is very close to the Vondel Park, which is a pleasant park in which to stroll. I like everything about Hotel Blyss; rooms are nice, breakfast good, and staff helpful and pleasant. There are shops and cafes nearby, and cash points, also useful tram routes.

Save your time
The room had an awkward layout with limited storage. Friendly staff made it somewhat bearable, but it didn't compensate for the lack of comfort. Better options are available if you're looking for relaxation.

5 Minutes walk from Amsterdam center

The location for Amsterdam nightlife is ideal; just a few minutes walk from Leidseplein and 1 minute from Vondel Park. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and the hotel is very quiet despite being close to the night life. A great place for backpackers and a very reasonable price.
For the price and location, it is difficult to fault. Breakfasts are a little basic but you could always skip breakfast (an optional extra) and walk into Leidseplein to eat.
